It's weird as hell, but all of a sudden I'm in the mood to write Reborn! fic again. Crack, gen, something along those lines. And the only reason why I can think of is because of an 8018 multiparter I read before coming back. '_'

So.... apparently in exchange for LJ, I lose Twitter. Which was a tad bit more frustrating than I expected, but mostly because Bliss just released Kiz/NARI's Revaival #3 yesterday, as well as Hakkenden chapter 04, and I really wanted to flail at the world in 140 characters or less. =P ALSO just found out that apparently Kiz has also taken part of punch!!'s doujin activities before. I HAD NO IDEA.

Backlog of the past... some odd numbered days excluding yesterday and today. I'm not sure anymore--haven't had enough time to actually sit down after each outing and write down all the lulz and exciting happenings. But here's 05/23 - 05/28 anyway:

An odd occurrence during the past two days: I've been having dreams of writing fic. I fall asleep thinking about writing fic.

Have really only been eating/shopping/spending time with my grandparents these last two days. Decided to be productive and finally get a few things done, so~

Am thinking of just archiving all my icons, fics and graphics there. Or something. IDEK. My little hoard of online blogs/journals/personal hubs is getting messy again. OTL

A family friend is taking me out to burn incense at a shrine (per my mother's instructions) and visiting my maternal grandmother tomorrow. Hopefully the weather's still pleasant and mosquito-free. Will post food-pr0n pictures after I collect a bit more of those.

Trying out this crossposting thing... hope it works! Will try to answer LJ-specific comments via an anonymous proxy on Sunday.

Am still not sure what the hell I'm going to do with this thing once I get back to the States and, consequently, away from the LJ cockblock China has going on. But for now, it's going to act as a stand-in for the chronicling of an unholy amount of trials-and-tribulations that have already begun.

Case in point, it actually hurts to look at the computer screen right now. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but somehow I took a layer of cells off from my freaking eyeballs when I removed my correctional contacts yesterday morning. Now, it might've been because I was wearing an old pair (and only god knows why I had an older pair with me), or it might've been because my eyesight had already been shot to hell having not worn them during the 14 hour flight--only to pop them in for 10 hours post-arrival. Whatever it was, it resulted in me not being able to open my eyes at all and having to be led by a neighbor and my grandfather (who has extraordinarily weak legs), essentially blind, to the local hospital and to an ophtalmologist. It was alternately mortifying and some-sort of tragic since it pretty much came down to one handicapped senior leading another handicapped non-senior around. Self-flagellation continues up to this point while I squint at the screen and its blinding brightness.

After an entire day of medications/eyedrops my eyes feel much better; as in, I can actually open them without a saline river dripping out in protest. But my eyesight is no longer 20/20, and that is equally worrisome. Will see how it goes tomorrow.

Haven't done much else in the last two days except for sleeping and being a source of constant worry for my grandparents. Haven't really eaten much either, much to the consternation of my grandmother who really believes in eating/feeding as a show of affection (and on that note: somebody SAVE ME holy cow, I really don't eat that much I swear to god--the amount that you're suggesting I eat is too much. Too much). :( I can't even draw, since my eyesight's just that bad atm. Desperately hoping that it'll get better soon.

Belated indeed, but better now than never? |D;

FINALLY FINISHED WITH MY EXAMS BUT NOW HAVE TO MAKE HIBIRD PILLOWS/CUT MAGNETS/CUT POSTCARDS HOLYFUCKING SHIT. DDD8 I honestly wish we had an extra day. Really, I do.

Our train is for 6:40am tomorrow morning, so it's highly unlikely butterflycages and I will be getting any sleep tonight. T____T And this is after getting very little sleep for the past week.

Here's a partial inventory catalog of what we'll be selling at the con. I say partial because there're at least a few dozen poster paper prints and bargain-bin crap that I didn't bother taking shots of. The inventory is pretty demonstrative of the fact that we have no idea what we're doing anyway.

Will sell the leftovers after we get back on the 11th (won't be bringing my laptop with me to boot). As of now, the prices for items and special deals are still in flux since we've never done this before and we need to see what the other vendors' ranges are anyway. (It also doesn't help that a lot of our larger prints, while on regular glossy poster paper, are also on Kodak metallic paper stock. They're ridiculously pretty, but how the hell to price it??)

Note to those on my flist/watching me: If there's anything you'd like for me to set aside for you, drop me a note before tomorrow morning and I'll endeavor to keep them at hand.

Just needed to write this somewhere for posterity's sake:

Ordered a large vinyl banner for our ACen table, based on the dimensions provided by the printing service's site, which were incidentally 6' x 2.5'.

I read that as 6" x 2.5" and drew the pic accordingly.... and to top that off, I only noticed the GLARING SIZE/RESOLUTION DIFFERENCE after I placed the non-cancelable order.

And now with that out of the way--a few thoughts about how my life is going right now. Or, more precisely, how RL has finally caught up to me and how I think I'm going to have to make some Choices. I have:

- Two [2] exams tomorrow
- Two [2] papers (totaling to 8 pages) due next Friday
- Hetalia WFC Round 3 entry due Tuesday
- One [1] fifteen paged (minimum) CAPSTONE research paper due the Friday after that.
- To update my resume ASAP so I can get back to my lab person and he can hire me for a year beginning Fall of 2009.

So this has been on my mind for the past... well, whenever was the last time I wrote fic (that wasn't for the Hetalia kink meme =P). Seriously? I think I'm going to have to make some cuts in what I do in fandom. It was nice, being able to both fic and draw and do all sorts of things to spread the fandom lulz. Unfortunately, I don't think I can keep it up anymore. I haven't felt any urge to fic for a while and looking at my folder of WIPs just makes me cringe with shame. I hate leaving things unfinished, but seriously, NO INSPIRATION. Not to mention I've written so many academic papers this last year that I honestly think any remaining crack reserve in me has been bled dry. And if I can't write humor, then there's really no point in me writing, is there?

I know I promised a few people fics. But. I'm sorry guys. Drawing has become shockingly easier than writing, and up until this point this has never happened before. I don't think I really feel anything for ficcing anymore--besides constant guilt and the stress that comes with. I have one pressing obligation that I will complete, because runesque might hunt me down with a nail-bat if I don't, but otherwise I think I'm done.

And on that note, here are all the WIPs that have accumulated and deserve some sort of aeration, because even if I can't tie up loose ends, I might as well provide some closure to all these ideas.
